Standard was developed as an extension of ISO 9001 according to automotive manufacturers requirements. It emphasizes on development of quality management system which is oriented on continual improvement, defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.

Most importantly it defines rules for external laboratory facilities used for inspection, test or calibration services by automotive manufacturers. It newly requires to perform these tests in laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.

Our laboratory is authorized to perform a test using X-ray computed tomography to standard ISO/IEC 17025 from 2006. For our partners, we can offer metrological measurements on two top CT devices (http://ctlab.ceitec.cz/accreditation/).
