The Rigaku Application Laboratory at CEITEC BUT expanded its activities in the microCT field

As part of the long-term cooperation with the Japanese company Rigaku Corporation and its European branch Rigaku Innovative Technologies Europe in 2015, we already became an application laboratory that performs demonstration measurements and participates in nanoCT development projects called nano3DX. This year, we are following up on these activities with a flexible microCT desktop scanner called CT Lab HX130, with an X-ray source with a power of 130 kV / 39 W and a voxel resolution of up to 2.1 µm, which allows scanning even the entire smartphone or 3D printed objects. This device was temporarily lended from the German Rigaku Europe SE, with the aim of using the experience of CEITEC BUT in the field of X-ray computed tomography and involving it in demonstration measurements and technical support with the presentation of the device.
