Award of Josef Hlávka

One of our Ph.D. students, Ing. Dominika Kalasová, has been awarded with Price of Josef Hlávka for talented students in bachelor, master and doctoral studies, who proved to have excelent qualities and creative thinking in their fields. The price is awarded every year by Hlávka foundation. Josef Hlávka was a Czech architect, builder and philanthropist. He founded the Hlávka foundation, the oldest foundation for science and arts in the Czech Republic, in 1904. Candidates for the price are nominated by rectors of Prague universities and Brno University of Technology. The award ceremony is held at celebration on the eve of 17th November at Hlávka castle in Lužany near Přeštice.
