Project desctiption: The production and subsequent characterization of materials containing both low and high density regions has some specificities. Dual-target X-ray computed tomography is a method that allows quantitative 3D analysis of the material being produced through a sequence of two measurements with different X-ray spectra. The accuracy and sensitivity of this analysis depend on the degree of spectral separation between the measurements. Additional adjustment of the spectra through filtering is required to achieve optimal results. Manually changing filters slows down the whole process and also introduces uncertainties into the measurement, especially when manual operator intervention is required between two measurements of the same sample. Currently, there is no solution for the target instrument that would allow automatic filter changes to replace manual changes. An automatic exchanger will speed up the whole process and also reduce the energy during the measurement setup. Furthermore, the introduction of these processes into production will increase the quality of the final products, in this case composite materials.
